Open Faced Mozzarella Sticks Caprese Style Sandwich with Prosciutto Ham, Served on Toasted Focaccia Bread
Ingredients:
- Focaccia bread, 6” long - 1 piece sliced in half
- Tomatoes, thinly sliced - 4 slices
- Prosciutto, thinly sliced - 4 slices
- Extra virgin olive oil - 2 Tbsp.>
- Balsamic vinegar glaze - 2 Tbsp.
- Basil, fresh - 6 leaves
- Romaine lettuce - 1 leaf
- Black pepper - pinch
- Presentations Breaded Mozzarella Sticks, code # 629497 - 3 sticks
Preparation:
- Lightly toast or grill inside of focaccia bread.
- Place 2 slices of tomatoes, 3 basil leaves and 2 slices of prosciutto on top of 1/2 the focaccia bread and sprinkle with pepper.
- Cook Mozzarella Sticks according to package instructions and place on top of focaccia side that has other ingredients on it.
- Place the other side of the focaccia next to it.
- As garnish on side of plate, place romaine lettuce leaf topped with rest of tomatoes, basil and prosciutto ham.
- Drizzle with olive oil, and balsamic glaze.
